I conducted a comprehensive annual service on a Generac 18kw home standby generator. The service began with a thorough inspection of the air filter, ensuring it was clean and free from obstructions. Next, I tested the battery to confirm it was holding a proper charge and functioning correctly. Fuel pressure was checked and adjusted to the manufacturer's specification of 11 inches of water column (inWC). Output voltage and frequency were verified to ensure the generator was producing stable and reliable power. The fuel line was painted to prevent corrosion and enhance aesthetics. I changed the engine oil and filter to maintain optimal engine performance and longevity. The generator's enclosure was cleaned to remove dirt and debris, ensuring it remains in good condition. Finally, a transfer test was performed to confirm the generator would switch to backup power seamlessly in the event of a power outage.

Residential Generac Generator was inherited with the purchase of my house but pulled offline due to significant renovations. It took 2 years but finally found a business nearby, Generators on Demand, who are specialists (and well trained) in Generacs. I originally just scheduled a service call to get the unit up and running but immediately signed up for annual maintenance with them. Ron was so helpful, explained everything that they were doing and why. He also gave me some very helpful recommendations to keep the unit in perfect condition. Extremely happy I waited to find the best group for service.
